Do you meditate?

If so, what's your method?

I often do, can sometimes help to draw my attention away from my physical discomfort. I use multiple different methods, but my favourites are stargazing and focusing my mind on those ever so distant points of light or breathing exercises and focusing on the physical sensations of it.

I can only do it with guided meditations though I want to branch out to walking meditation at some point. Not the easiest thing in the city.

@summersong As I just mentioned to Prodigal, guided meditation has greatly helped my aunt. I've done it a few times myself, can be quite nice. Glad it works well for you, my love.

It really is bothersome trying to do walking meditation in a city. Need that cabin deep in the redwoods.

@UndeadPrivateer glad it’s helped her.

@summersong Me too. She has gotten very worryingly thin. The improvement is encouraging.

Yes some exercises. I like to create situations too.

@UndeadPrivateer Its not my langage. What would that be?
UndeadPrivateer · 31-35, M
@RosaDawn Creative thought. Coming up with ideas.

@UndeadPrivateer OK. Not exactly.
I like to do it with binaural beats. It gets me into the meditative state a lot faster.

@issues Ah, yes, I did that for a short time in my teens.
Guided meditations are my jam.
@UndeadPrivateer they help me process and sometimes escape from reality

@ProdigalSummer My aunt has recently started doing some and it has helped her quite a lot. She had lost a very very worrying amount of weight and was having digestive issues and the docs couldn't figure it out. Eventually they pinned the source as being primarily stress. Since starting the guided meditation sessions she has made a lot of progress on her symptoms and she has actually regained a little weight.
@UndeadPrivateer that’s fantastic!
I did a fairly intestive 8 week workshop and was able to go off my antidepressants afterwards. It really helps me refocus and keep from slipping down into emotional numbness and darkness like i used to.

I still have my moments but feel like they’re more about external factors beyond my control.

No. I never managed to.
UndeadPrivateer · 31-35, M
@SW-User What methods have you tried?
SW-User
I tried with and without music. Not sure about methods really . I just can't seem to clear my mind or focus.@UndeadPrivateer
