Suffer or die?

If someone you knew was terminally ill and they wanted to die, would you grant their wish and end their suffering or prolong it? Do you believe people should have a "right to die"?

I think that in extreme cases people should be allowed to die rather than suffer. However , I do not think that a person's loved one's should do the dead themselves. That has the potential to leave a mental scar for the rest of their lives.
I know a woman who helped her grandmother out in such a way and it bugs her mentally. One reason it bugs her is because she can't tell anyone about it except me.

@Wraithorn Oh most definitely, it’s funny how many just don’t give a shit and maybe for the first time in their lives say what’s really on their minds.

@Jeephikelove Yes ! That's one of the reasons I like old people. You can ask a question and very often get a straightforward and blunt answer. I enjoy that.

@Wraithorn Ya it’s refreshing, no bullshit. 😊

Yes! People should have the right to choose when they die.

Just to be clear I don't condone senseless killing. I talking about a situation like if YOU were someone's POA (power of attorney) or living will. I had an aunt that had terminal cancer and I had to watch her die a slow miserable death. However, she was a devout Christian, so to end her suffering would be disrespectful to her beliefs.
I do not believe they have a 'right to die' and I say this without criticism or challenge to those who believe opposite.

Absolutely... they put pets down, why not people?

@SW-User Right!!??
SW-User
@Jeephikelove Yup... makes no sense
Jeephikelove · 46-50, F
@SW-User Totally agree!
people have free will to, but no one should be obligated to assist

I think they should.

That's between them and their maker. I would offer to do what I could to make them feel better, but I would not condemn myself. "Thou shalt not kill." Pretty straight forward.

If someone is suffering then that's the plan God chose for them. Nobody has the right to disrespect God's plan.
Adam1985 · 36-40, M
@USAalltheway I respect your beliefs.

People with long prison terms should be offered this too.

@SW-User I would definitely save the tax payers money!
