I don't want to go to heaven because in my opinion no such place exists. Yet I hope somehow, somewhere we are reunited with our loved ones. Another thought is we become celestial bodies and can explore the universe now that we are rid of our earthly bodies. But who knows what happens next? In a weird kind of way, I'm looking forward to finding out. I'm not afraid to die, just reluctant to leave my loved ones behind.

Nothing,it's like turning an oven off,we cool down and that's it.

@FreeSpirit1 That could very well be true...the switch goes to 'off' and that's it...I do hope there's more though

We all are around forever, I can't remember when I was wasn't.

There is no energy once we die unless you include the chemical energy released during cremation or decomposition. Much though it would be nice to believe otherwise, there is no supporting evidence so it's probably just wishful thinking.

I would hope that it re-integrates into planet Earth.

I believe we go to heaven or soul space and can be reincarnated if we choose to be

@Nayla That is all about having many lives...each one a chance to do it right and reach Nirvana,a transcendent state in which there is neither suffering, desire, nor sense of self, and the subject is released from the effects of karma and the cycle of death and rebirth. It represents the final goal of Buddhism. I like the idea of having chance after chance to get it right...what ever "it" is...if anything
