In some cases, yes. In other cases - a definite 'no'. Some people hate for reasons that defy logic.

I would think they would tire eventually. Hopefully such a person can be avoided.

Well it doesn’t guarantee they will stop but they’ll see that you aren’t going to give into their hate towards you and that usually makes them stop.

So true, they are wanting a reaction from you. If you give them no reaction then they will leave you alone.

nope. It is not always "do not feed the trolls" which will make them stop either.

They are more likely to but it's no guarantee.

It does work sometimes, they can't get a reaction from you and tire or lose interest. But there are other time when it doesn't work, they can't stand to be ignored and it angers them which in turn causes them to try harder to force a reaction from you. Haters and bullies are just plain unpredictable.
