Is insisting on a prenuptial agreement the ultimate in distrust?

The person you marry is never the same person you divorce. That's what you're protecting yourself from, the person they have the potential to become. It shouldn't be a slight but I see how it can seem that way to some sweet woman who just wants to be the guy's wife.

@KayraJordyn lovely way of putting it, the person you marry is never the same you divorce. Thank you.

I think its fair and should not be considered distrust just protection..you never know :)
Makes sense since most marriages rarely last these days.

@JustLikeGreta I wonder why they bother then 😟
@Valentine I guess they hope for the best. Committment doesn't seem to be there anymore.
@JustLikeGreta People tend to disappoint no matter what century they're living in.

Are you going to bet everything you own if the other person is faithful to you for the rest of your life? That's silly.
KelseyR · 26-30, F
No. It's only fair that whatever one party owns before the marriage is returned to them.
