Do you believe that having more women in political leadership will reduce poverty ?

Clairebare · 26-30, F
The women who are already in politics have already proven they're just as corrupt, self centered and ego maniacs as any of the men. So no, I don't think it would make any difference at all.
@Clairebare Female still = human. Spot on
Bluesky53 · 61-69, M
@Clairebare true,i've helped in many elections,it keeps repeating itself,it wont change,

@SpencerMurgatroyd Personally I think they put something addictive in the burgers... lol

They taste like shit, people acknowledge that, yet they go back for more!

Well in the UK we had Margaret Thatcher and well let's just say it wasn't a sad day when she died (for the majority of the population anyway).
progeo · 61-69, M
@GeniUs hear hear a day of national celebration lol except death is too good for her. I'd like to have seen her live to a thousand but her body deteriorates accordingly just not her mind lol
GeniUs · 56-60, M
Frankie Boyle had a few choice words for her...
Newandimproved · 61-69, M
I think it will prove that women are equally inept and self-serv8 g as their male counterparts.

@SpencerMurgatroyd there can be no negative view of equality. Otherwise it wouldn't be equality. Equality is neither positive nor negative lol. It just is
Newandimproved · 61-69, M
@SpencerMurgatroyd I think it is more a negative view of government. I think it is a positive view of equality.

Only in third world countries, it's even proven when woman get more power there, the common situation improves in countries like that.
SW-User
Greed and obsession with power has nothing to do with gender
Bluesky53 · 61-69, M
either gender can reduse poverty,
Quizzical · 46-50, M
No, not for a second. We've had two female Prime Ministers, one was a complete bitch and the other is proving to be totally incompetent. Mind you, we've not had very many good male ones either 🤔
Miram · 31-35, F
Not necessarily. Politics seem to be the byproduct of economics not the other way around.
SW-User
@Miram Yeah , but it should change for good when nature takes its course .
Miram · 31-35, F
@SW-User What do you mean?
Subsumedpat · 36-40, M
They would be more inclined to do more about the symptoms but I don't know about the problem .
Novaturient81 · 41-45, F
@Subsumedpat We don't know. Only one way to find out. But women can be goid leaders.
Subsumedpat · 36-40, M
I say that because women in general are more empathetic and more likely to want to so something. But sometimes the causes are ugly and not what they want to face. What about when the cause of poverty is because you are over populating the land on which you derive your living as in some third world locations. IF you just feed them you only end up with a larger group of impoverished people.
TexChik · F
nope, it will make it worse. That little socialist from New York...the darling of the democrat party, is Bernie Sanders on steroids.
Of course, needs feminine touch ! World would be a hormonius place
Master1A · 70-79, M
@Georgimy Accept every 28 day when they go on a tear . LOL.
Master1A · 70-79, M
Not a chance.. you need to drain the swamp first and start term limits.
Miram · 31-35, F
@NerdyNudist

I downloaded the original paper they copied the statistics from. It doesn't indicate a causual relationship between decrease in poverty and capitalism. Because the studied countries still have regulations prohibiting a fully capitalistic economy and the changes can be attributed just as much to active international associations aiming to fund economic growth.
@Miram No country has a fully pure type of any economy.
Miram · 31-35, F
@NerdyNudist

Some lean towards capitalism and free markets more than others including yours. Do you consider Tunisia, Nigeria, Mali, Morroco capitalist countries? If not why would one assume capitalism has to do with their poverty rates?

The studied countries have regulated markets. The major cooperations are governmental espacially if we are talking about Africa.
progeo · 61-69, M
Absolutely not. Male or female you are still part of the power corrupts. And absolute power corrupts absolutely. Nothing important for humanity will ever change thanks to politicians. Politics is not true power. It is control authority. And mostly an abuse of. Xxx
MrAverage1965 · 61-69, M
Well we have had two female Prime Ministers in the UK and both contributed to an increase in poverty by introducing policies that lead to a more unfair distribution of wealth.

look to canada for supporting evidence.

justin replaced half the cabinet with women, just because, and now they are welcoming back isis terrorists and giving them taxpayer money..
DownTheStreet · 51-55, M
Perhaps? Hopefully? Nonetheless I think a more balanced representation in pollitics could help in many ways.
ThePenguin · 26-30, M
there will be a lot of not talking to each other, that is for sure.
Miram · 31-35, F
@ThePenguin 😡 time to block you.

not a chance in hell. They are just as greedy as any man.
Novaturient81 · 41-45, F
We are more sensitive.

But sensitivity can get people killed.

😞
I don’t think it has anything to do with gender.
ozgirl512 · 26-30, F
I think I know what your not saying Here ... Regarding a more casting attitude etc, but I think to get ahead in politics they have to be hard headed ... I think it gets knocked out of them

Yes. I think women are more compassionate.
TexChik · F
@KarateAaron you mean stupid enough to promise free everything with no clue how to pay for it?
KarateAaron · 46-50, M
@TexChik: You provide a good counter-example (of a woman who is not compassionate)! lol
TexChik · F
@KarateAaron if compassion = Liberal....then you damn skippy!

@SW-User please lay out all the moments of Hilary's sincere sensitivity
SW-User
@Thevy29@SW-User Exceptions might be there , but we have to look into majority case .
xSharp · 31-35, M
@SW-User sensitivity is a bad thing in the case of leadership, stats show women are the first to initiate physical conflict in most domestic and public situations over something as simple as being offended by something one had said, we cant have one being the first initiating nuclear conflict now can we? if kim jong un was a woman we would be a nuclear wasteland by now lol
BlueRain · F
No it will just make us crazier
SW-User
Probs not.
