How would you feel about the company you work for if they...

...forced an apology from or pressured the resignation of a Human Resources Director or Manager, that happens to be a white male who openly gave the opinion that a group of black woman can be diverse or bring diversity to the company?

Real question. Don't come at me with insults and accusations, please. I'm curious about how people would take this.

Personally I don’t see the opinion that they bring diversity (in a positive sense) ludicrous.
I am somewhat perplexed by him being made to apologise or even resign? It depends, I mean was the workplace predominantly white beforehand? I believe it also depends on the context; if he was saying that to single these employees out instead of in the interests of integrating them further then yeah, absurd.
I mean, being “ethnically” diverse myself I guess I am used to being put in a box in terms of those equality in the workplace forms.
That is a silly statement to make... honest to God! Success and diversity of a company does not depend on the color oh human capital... head of a human resource should know better.
No... don't get me wrong... I did not say that.... A head of HR should know that diversity depends on minds, innovation, and solutions... not the color/gender of who creates them@quietlitany

@Soossie Diversity is a hiring consideration in the US/UK. Affirmative Action for example and workplace discrimination...

I agree with you btw, but I'm just seeing how people would feel. People may just avoid me this round, because they tend to show their asses as opposed to discussing ideas.
Thanks....

If a nigga good at they job, they keep it. No matter if y'all black white yellow hell, even purple it don't matter....... I guess that makes too much sense for some people tho AND DEY JUST CAN'T HANDLE THAT!! ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡ °)

@quietlitany Idk, dawg... If the money is hella good I'd stick with them.... But if dawg's got the skills for other things... Then he oughta just drop out from that job and go somewhere less tight assed. ʕ ᵔᴥᵔʔ

What kind of diversity? Racial/ethnic? I thought there was a minimum requirement for this kind of diversity.
quietlitany · 36-40, M
@LucyCan What if the company said they disagreed with his opinion and he was pressured to resign?
LucyCan · 26-30, F
@quietlitany Maybe they thought he wasn't capable of rational thought, was overstepping his bounds, and was implying discriminatory practices. Who knows? There's very little to go on here.

@LucyCan Diversity is a hiring issue in the US and UK. If you've ever held an office job you'd have heard about it, especially in a large corperation. I'm just curious what people would think if their H/R got forced to apologize for thinking black women are a diverse group (in a valued/positive context) and that caused a controversy, implying black women are not a diverse group and do not represent diversity as understood by H/R practices in the US and UK.
Lizabee · F
I would say that's ridiculous and unwarranted
quietlitany · 36-40, M
@Lizabee Why?
Lizabee · F
@quietlitany I don't see the acknowledgement of people wrong. Perhaps calling it out as black was racist.
I’m missing something here. What reason is the company giving for requesting an apology ? Under what circumstances did he feel that their race needed to be made an issue ? What type of business is it ?
The context is very important.
