Are you a feminist ?

Sure I am. I believe in equity. Having same opportunities and same rights no matter gender, race, religious and political believes, and no matter our sexuality.
SW-User
@SapphicHeart That's great to hear 👍 .
SW-User
@IstillmissEP That's probably a misunderstanding .
@IstillmissEP
I gave my version of what I believe in. I've never talked pro about any positive discrimination one way or another. I can't help you with what you think or perceive. That one will be on your own. Now help yourself and move on.

No my teacher got really mad at me when I said I wasn't and my mum went to his house and made him apologise to me ha!

@SW-User yeah and because it was a man it was even stranger!
Katymgroo · F
@IstillmissEP ha! I don't think they are all like that. But I think they are mostly just to angry for me
MissMoon · 26-30, F
[c=#7700B2]Noooooo~ 🙈[/c]
SW-User
@MissMoon Thank you . I totally agree with you . More focus should be given to the upliftment of women in rural areas and under developed countries . Regarding the term bossy , I do feel its incorrect . Probably you might have come across Sheryl Sandberg's lean-in .
Fernie · F
@MissMoon you are a huge part of the problem regarding the ugly definitions of Feminism now on the scene. You have no clue what it means little girl...or what your life would be like if it did not exist. Those of us who have battled inequality all of our lives DO know what it is...nothing more that being treated equal...pay gaps DO exist...you really need to get the facts and be on the side of your sisters...I wonder if you could list the rights you have right now because of Feminists...google it
MissMoon · 26-30, F
@Fernie Sorry but I do not respond to people who are talking rudely 🙂 Also- I know feminism has given me rights, I studied the feminist act in my course. Also- no the pay gap doesn't exist. I will not debate this any further as you cannot be nice about it. I hope you have a nice day.
SW-User
No. I think we already have the vote and equal pay.
SW-User
@SW-User But still we have women suppressed in many parts of the world . I don't thing equal pay is implemented everywhere , but I believe voting rights are there that was earned after a long and fearless movement .
impulsive · 26-30, M
Quizzical · 46-50, M
@Fernie I have no need to evolve, I am totally egalitarian, EVERYONE should have the same rights and chances in life, but yes, as a man I am threatened by Feminism, for as you can see, threats to my sex have been publicly made.

These are not my words, I did not invent that picture, these are the words of world famous women considering to be spokeswomen, leaders, and pioneers for the feminist movement.

Whatever it's origins, feminism has become an anti-men hate group blaming males for all the ills of the world.

These quotes are merely a snippet, a drop in an a vast ocean of socially acceptable misandry and it's not right. Most men are decent, hard-working, caring guys, but if the 'leadership' of this movement had their way we would all be in chains, or worse...

If someone believes in equality for ALL and not just a select few (whatever their race, sex, or gender) then they are egalitarian, which as a decent human being, I suspect you actually are. Feminism HAS become poisoned and the minds of each new generation of women rallying to it's banner are also becoming poisoned by it, and it's getting worse.
Fernie · F
@Quizzical you're quite confused...and if you were an evolved MAN you would not say the things you say. You're right...it's your choice to remain a caveman
Quizzical · 46-50, M
@Fernie Well, you have certainly proven me wrong...

I tried to give you the benefit of the doubt, but it appears that you ARE a typical feminist.

There is no argument other than the one you set forth, and any disagreement is because I am obviously a chauvinist, even though I have stated (and proven) that I am for equality for all rather than concentrating on a select few. A few who in fact desire to be superior to some of us AND publicly express that desire time and again.

Poisonous Feminist rhetoric has become so pervasive in society today that even to question it is frowned upon, no matter what vitriol it's 'members' come out with.

This Feminism causes just as much of a divide between the sexes as abusers, molesters and rapists do, but at least rapists are punished for their actions. Whereas Feminists continually get away with hate speech because it's only aimed at men...

SW-User
@MrsKatherineArch Yes , you are right . Its all for equality .
MrsKatherineArch · 41-45, F
@SW-User Anything beyond that isn't my cup of tea.

@wilderflower That's perfect .
Newandimproved · 61-69, M
I think that term means a lot of different things

If you mean do I think men and women are equal, are equally capable, deserve the same opportunities, and should be paid the same as a man in the same position, then yes.
SW-User
@Newandimproved That's great to know . Ad that's what feminists strive for .
SW-User
i support equal rights for all.. but a lot of feminists ive seen are just man haters
SW-User
@SW-User a lot of them are man haters..

I'm a traditional feminist. I believe in giving women the ability to have a public life and the same rights as men, and leaving it at that.
whateverhappens · 26-30, F
i do catch myself saying feminist things but wouldnt say i am?👀 nar i dont think so.
SW-User
@whateverhappens Won't saying feminist things count as support for feminist movement . Why not help under privilege women ?
whateverhappens · 26-30, F
@SW-User i usually help anyone in anyway i can💜
SW-User
@whateverhappens That's great to know . Underprivileged women need your support .
Hell nooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo!
@SW-User It's a story as old as time. Starts with pure intentions, ends (soon, I hope) a bastardised version of itself. Feminism is now all about money, most things are really when you think about it. Just a big machine made up of manipulators & the easily manipulated, churning out hate.

These people tell you that your fathers, grandfathers & great-grandfathers stretching back till the dawn of time where rapists & bullies, owning & using their women as chattel, & that these women were weak, spineless cowards who allowed themselves to be used so ill .

Are you weak? Are you spineless? No, & I dare say neither were they. Equality is a way of life, it's you pulling your own weight, doing what it takes to make your life the way you want it. Egalitarianism in action. Feminism is the exact opposite, it is sitting back & waiting on standards to be lowered in the name of 'fairness.' Fuck that! You want it, get it yourself.
SW-User
@SevenTierCrazyCake I agree that the feminist movement has lacked direction , however there are misconceptions and misunderstandings as well . Its our duty to give proper direction to this sacred movement .
@SW-User if only you could hear how insane you sound 😂
Anubis · 31-35, F
No however I am pro woman of equality.
SW-User
@Anubis That's good to hear . However if you work in a group the impact will be more . right ?
Anubis · 31-35, F
@SW-User yes and no. Humans act irrational when in groups and the negitive will always over power the none.
SW-User
@Anubis That's were we need to develop through learnings .
Fernie · F
I can't answer this until I know what your definition is of Feminism
SW-User
@Fernie Well , I'll go with the general definition . Movement to protect the rights of women .
SW-User
Yes. Not radical, but certainly a feminist.

@IstillmissEP But why ?

SW-User
@IstillmissEP Agreed .We should cherish those differences and live as equals . That's the beauty of life .
I'm pretty sympathetic to the idea of promoting women's rights, but not always in perfect harmony with the methods or the movement, I guess.

It's kind of like how I feel about the ACLU. I may not agree, but I'm damn sure it exists.
No. Im much worse.
