I Love Nature and Wildlife

I live in a country that has rapidly destroyed 90% of the original flora and fauna native to the area. As such, many of the species seen in New Zealand are among the rarest in the world. I would do pretty much anything to ensure the survival of what remains of the endemic species here, because they are epic.
I have always wanted to see the unique plants that are found in New Zealand, it's like an alien world or a window to long lost times.

Yeah, the fuckwits from Down Under, make a mess, then make another, worse, mess trying to clean up the first mess. Very messy
Non Government Organization, like Greenpeace or WWF.
Both NZ and AUS are rather famous in ecology for their sometimes rather catastrophic attempts to tamper with the ecosystems, at first to make it better for humans and later desperately trying to save some of the unique species.

What is NGO? Things could change here if labor and the greens make up but unfortunately I don't think that will happen, more and more the greens are siding with the liberals and if they give them their preferences I will not vote for the greens I will go straight labor.
New Zealand is still far more humane then here, a record number of Australians are trying to move to New Zealand which hasn't been seen since the recession of the early 90's.

I'm pretty sure that many of them are listed on the WWF endangered species list.

Nobody in our government wants to clean up the mess either. That's why I support the opposition! And why I work with NGO's gathering funds from other sources to try and clean up the mess. I also try and make use of the natural environment to provide a reason (tourism) for the government to give a shit.

I don't see anyone in the current government trying to clean up any mess, they just keep adding to it. Our prime minister announced a few months ago that we need to plant more trees in western Sydney cause they cut all of them down for new suburbs now it's too hot!

@Saffie, Australia is worse on its marine resources, but nowhere near as bad with its land resources. It doesn't help that a number of the species that are seriously endanger are also like, 40% homosexual, so breeding is a problem.

Don't even get me started on our government. Everything that they have done since coming into power in 2008 has been pushing us further and further from true democracy, but that is different rant for a different time
I think the current model of democracy in most countries is a kind of orwellian joke, instead of distributing power equally among the people it takes it away from most people and distributes it among a few.

plenty of breeding programs and pest free sanctuaries, but when the animals don't want to breed, it's hard to force them

I question democracy, it's a nice thought but I rarely see it practiced, I think Canada is the closest thing to it.

That's terrible! Are there any breeding programs?

Australia is worse, look at the Great Barrier Reef
