How to convince your boss that continuing to work remote is better?

About 15 months ago everyone in the office was sent home unless absolutely necessary because of the pandemic.
A couple days on a Friday night I received an email about the “Back to Work” plan as things are back to mostly normal now. After so long many of my team member including my self though there could be some type of hybrid, but today my manager got upset with one of my team members when he asked about it.

Many other companies are doing a hybrid model, and my question is how can I sell this to my boss?

I have started to put numbers together about the number of tickets completed(thank god we have a project management system) to show better efficiency, but don’t think that will sell it to my boss.

Also thought that my team members may leave for better jobs that allow this.

Any other ideas? It would be greatly appreciated my my self and the people that work for me.

Thanks for great ideas everyone
1. Nobody will call off due to car trouble.
2. Regular colds & flu & stuff won't spread at the office and lessen his staff.
3. Better employee satisfaction
4. Reduced friction between staff
5. Conservation brownie points - less gas used

If everyone works from home he doesn’t need to rent all that office space.

@SW-User Thanks that is a good point. There are other things going on in the building maybe repurpose it.
Show him how he could potentially benefit from keeping the office closed... what is in it for him???

And I swear my boss thinks of a response to everything, always something to get his way

His idea is perception is everything, so thinks more work will get done at the office..

I think hanging the facts out there is good and ask for trial run
