What are the pitfalls of being considered sexy in the workplace?

I think a pitfall would be that it's a distraction.. I wouldn't want people to notice me for that reason.. it distracts from how good I am at my job and from all that I do.

Regardless of looks, you still have to do the job. Eventually it comes out whether or not you're doing a good job.

It makes it harder to be taken seriously.

depends on the person.
some "sexy people" are seen as less intelligent. or perhaps promiscuous.
they tend to be repressed in the job space

BUT
the other kind? they use the attraction factor as a tool for personal advancement.

I have a coworker who is a typical blonde white girl. For some reason every male in that place is gaga for her, and she knows it. She is constantly bragging about how many times she's asked out in a weekend. Lol

In my experience it ranges from loving glances to broken hearts.

All it does is make people more annoying to work with

You mean if the other person is considered sexy, do we take them less seriously, or if they consider [b]us[/b] sexy, do we take them less seriously ? Either way, the potential for unprofessional behavior and problems is pretty rife.

If they give me good results and they have presence of mind I wouldn't care if they walk nude and are a pros outside of work.
