How do you personally respond to being hit on at work?

Do you think it's a bit funny and shrug it off? Do you flirt back a little? Display annoyance? Tell them to screw off?

I remember I had a straight guy working with me who'd always be aggressively flirting w me just to get a rise out of me. Usually, I tried to ignore it, but I figured he'd stop if I waited till he said "Kiss me BlueVeins" and then leaned in for a smooch.

It worked. He freaked the fuck out lmao.

@BlueVeins I would have been scared he was baiting you to hit you or something.
He probably wasn't as straight as he claimed to be.

@SW-User I mean, he genuinely did seem disturbed and upset when I went to do it. I've been hit by other lifeguards before idgaf. 👌
I will address it head on. If I am working, I am professional and won't mix pleasure with business.

I won't even tolerate office gossip anymore after spending so long having to bite my tongue and hold back while I sat listening to other staff members talking shit about me.
When I was single? 🎉

I had my buttocks pinched while holding a beaker of acid at work by a flirty female. I responded with "wtf, can't you see I'm holding acid?" Yeah, it actually happened.

I only had that happen once when I was 17 years old. She was very aggressive, and I kinda thought it cute. Nothing ever happened.
It has always been uncomfortable

@questionWeaver It's awkward and I feel like a lunkhead, because I stutter and [c=#BF0000]blush[/c]
@SW-User you could practicw hitting on me till you get it just the way you want it

@questionWeaver 👀🙊🙊🙊 [c=#BF0000]*Blushes deeper red, [/c] and stutters*

I ignore it.
This has been my response as well.@SW-User

@AnonymouslyYours it can just get you into all k8nds of trouble.

That never happens - we know the difference between being friendly and flirty. I work with very intelligent people and we respect one another ♥️ 😱
😳...Can we trade jobs?@SW-User

I like a bit of mystery. A big smile and a wink to counter. It’s being playful but best to not get involved at work. It’s too treacherous.😊
Exactly!@Oster1

It only happened once when I first started. I gave him a cold stare and he didn’t try again.
It is rare but its good for the old ego
Most definitely, but strangely, I'm only truly offended if it isn't someone I want to be hit on by.@BiasForAction
@AnonymouslyYours i think that is normal, too.

Depends what they look like
Yes...it really does.@SW-User

Don’t like it. I’m not there to find love 😒.
I don’t mind a bit of flirting in the workplace
JupiterDreams · 31-35
I'd ignore it...
This is your preferred method as well or did you try other strategies beforehand?@JupiterDreams
JupiterDreams · 31-35
@AnonymouslyYours I just act polite but ignore them until they get a hint 😅
SW-User
Any above 70 i consider harmless 😂
I don't think I'd recognise it if it happened....we fart arse and joke around so much I'd probably think they were joking.
SW-User
Depends on who.
Donotfolowme · 51-55, F
Purely depends how's the man
Not gonna lie, I might be inclined to slyly smirk if it's an attractive individual and it's just a brief exchange between the two of us. But if it's someone I don't find particularly attractive, my default response is vividly displayed disgust.😂@Donotfolowme
I'd be wildly confused

Never has happened before, so I dunno.
