Have you ever been fired? What did you do?

I worked at a cell phone warehouse many years ago.
We were producing the latest Iphone at the time.
The rules were that you processed 1 box of phones at a time.

I had 1 box at my station, with phones in it .

A major jam happened with the machinery in the warehouse. It was taking quite a while for them to fix it.

They told us to stop what we were doing and take a 1 hour lunch (so they could fix the jam). So I left the things at my station and went to lunch.

I came back from lunch, went to my station and my box of phones were gone. I thought maybe someone packed them up for me so I continued working.

Then HR came and escorted me out.
I hated the dam job anyway😂.

I remember coming home super early from work, like 1pm.

Mom was like, why are you here?
I said I got fired. She said no you didn't .

Next day she asked me why I was home before her.

Me: I told you I got fired yesterday 😆

I got fired once for the same reason you did, i was set up.
But with me though, my new boss wanted to replace me with a hot woman from another department. Our laws don't allow people to be fired for no reason so he had to create one. So he started altering my work when i was at lunch or had gone home. Then he'd warn me that i'd lose my job if i didn't improve. A month later i was replaced by his hot woman. I heard from someone else that she never did any work and they had to hire someone else to help her.

@iamnikki That's good, at least you left a bad job. I think it's as hard to find a decent job as it is to find a decent relationship. There's plenty available and most end with one person throwing things and the other kicking them out.

@SW-User true. I want a bf now. Me working where I work has me thinking the worst about people

@iamnikki I can totally relate. I find living where i live has me feeling the same about people too.

Only been fired once, and like you, there was no love loss; and (really) I did deserve it. More than anything I remember the novelty of the experience, and have always thought of it as being quite humorous.

@SW-User lol why was it humourous
SW-User
@iamnikki Because I hated that job, and I had finally been given the experience of being fired, which I thought was pretty cool. 😄
Yep. I lost my job of 11 years after my boss died and was replaced with a political favor. It was devastating.

I spent about four months on unemployment and therapy twice a week. When I finally reached out to a mentor about going back to school, doors opened left and right for me.

I've seen the new director twice since and both times she has literally hidden from me.

@Pinkstarburst why did she want you to break the law? Seems like she's scared of you
@iamnikki She wanted to do some creative financing with state appropriated funds and I wouldn’t do it and reported her to our commission. She got a slap on the wrist and I got fired. Such is the way of crooked state politics.

@Pinkstarburst aw man. Seems like u could have fought that. But I can see why u wouldn't have want to work there after that

Sounds like they set you up to take the fall for someone else taking that phone. Ugh...the escort out is the worst! It was the most humiliating thing I've ever experienced.

Wow! That's pretty shitty! No, never been fired from anything, really. Pretty much worked for myself for most of my life...
