How many people didn’t get a 3 month paid vacation? 👋🏻

I work in restaurant business and worked same amount of hour as I did before. How many others kept working?
SW-User
I worked the whole way through too.
SW-User
@SW-User me too! Kinda wish I would have though lol
SW-User
@SW-User yeah honestly same. I need a break 🤦🏻‍♀️

I actually worked 51-65 hr weeks mid march through last week when I took two days off. Usually 45ish
SW-User
@Starcrossed ok good for you still! I know bunch people who just took the free time off
Starcrossed · 41-45, F
@SW-User that wasn't an option for either me or him.
SW-User
@Starcrossed I could have but my boss (the owner) would have been disappointed in me, and I couldn’t willing take free money. I learned that young and want my kids to learn that! But nonetheless I’m burnt the f out!

I've been working the whole time except for my scheduled vacation
SW-User
@SilkandLace2 I need to take one soon. I’m burnt out! I walk 1.5 miles to work and then do 10-12 miles at work (in a kitchen) according to my watch.

@SW-User you should, been there, almost 20 years managing restaurants, burn out is SO common
Does anyone get that much paid vacation time? 😳 i never heard of such a thing
itsok · 31-35, F
I got a month, and wished I was working the whole time.
QuixoticSoul · 41-45, M
I only worked more, sadly.
SW-User
@QuixoticSoul me too, I’m a manager so I had to let hourly employees go home earlier to make sure we recover but now I’m ready for a break lol
SW-User
No rest for the wicked here at all
Bagalamaga · 56-60, M
Im more busy than usual. Booked until mid September
SW-User
@Bagalamaga glad. Some local businesses may not survive this! Ours did thank God!
SW-User
i got a 1.5 month unpaid vacation
SW-User
@SW-User that sucks, didn’t file for unemployment?

SW-User
@Doomflower sucks but glad I did. My kids watched me leave everyday (most time walking 1.5 miles) to go to work and not come home till they were in bed. I hope they learn from it 😊
Doomflower · 36-40, M
@SW-User I am thankful not to have kids or any vulnerable household members. Some of my coworkers have sent their kids to live with unemployed or working from home family members.
