Way to go! @PainfulTruth

Degbeme · 70-79, M
5 days. It was a glass manufacturing company on the boxing line. I was the new guy and they thought they could get me to work two lines by myself while others were working a single line. I can still remember looking back and seeing glass bottles piling up. 😬

@saragoodtimes Just temporally I hope?
@Degbeme said they would call me back when this ends. will be a big job getting people to volunteer again. we'll see what happens. maybe Alan won't want me to work once we get married
@saragoodtimes At first, I refused to believe my road worker father was stealing from his job, but when I got home, all the signs were there.

Not very long ... I worked for two individuals with zero morals, professional conduct and compassion to name a few.

Leaving those places... walking away from those people.... best feeling ever lol 🥳

I remember how alone ca I felt in those times.... truly alone yet comforted knowing in my heart I stood up for what was right

After those experiences I felt like a decent human being and many things improved after I left because I whistle blew on managers who had zero regard for the well being of the elderly

Thank you 🙏🏼 @LukeTheDuke
Well done to you. That’s great. @SW-User

About two weeks. I arrived at the school where the only storage in my room was full of other people's rubbish....I tidied all that. Neither were there any curriculum or resources in place for my year group, which was the head's responsibility and had been promised. While she swanned off to get her MBE from the queen for 'services to overseas' education' 🙄 I got on a plane and left her a nice surprise on return 🤷🏼‍♀️
