Loyalty to your merchandise suppliers...If they run out of something, can you order it from elsewhere?

This is about the hand sanitizer situation. I found some temporary sources with good prices but the manager said they had to stick to their regular supplier, who is not supplying it to us right now.

I'd like to run my own store someday.
