Do you ever get to work on Monday morning and don't know what to do?

It's not really that I don't know what to do,but I got emails from folks that I can't answer right now cause I'm like "ok what happened last week"?

I see now that I need to start making detailed notes about the previous week, or at least a "do this on Monday list" lol

Thinking back to my last job, we were not allowed enough time on our shift to catch up on email about changes and new policies and procedures. We were told by grumpy trainers and assistant managers that we were supposed to be doing that between calls...and there was no "between calls".

After feeling off base and scrambled for a while, I developed the habit of coming in an hour early after my two days off...which were usually on Tuesday and Wednesday. I needed time to catch up...they refused to pay me for my time...so in order to do my job and function efficiently, I read my email before or after work.

@iamnikki Well, if that is their attitude but excellence is important to you personally, you do what you have to do.

@4meAndyou yes, which for me is to go-to higher-ups. I need to be paid for working. Glad you are no longer there

@iamnikki I miss it at times. Those policies were MADE by the higher ups...but my supervisor was SO awesome. I liked the people who sat all around me...and I was so lucky to be on that team. (sigh).

Do they don't reply in the old email thread?

@ABCDEF7 ? No

@iamnikki That's very unprofessional. Then you have to maintain mail threads for yourself.

My time is valuable so I live by lists. I want to finish my work asap so I always work from a list and the moment that anything I want to do come up then I add it to the list. It also helps to glance at the list during the day to make sure that you are on target and prioritizing the right tasks
