Have you ever been someone's 'work spouse'?

A close colleague called me his work wife today. I'm guessing because I'm a nag. 😏

I have had a “work spouse”, a “soulmate” who wouldn’t need to ask what I was thinking about something because she was thinking the same thing. We could complete each others sentences, and were (and remain) good friends outside of the job (even though the company is now out of business).
My wife & I were at her wedding, and I have been to funerals for her mother and her husband’s father in more recent times. She’s probably the reason I believe in “soulmates”....even though our relationship was never a romantic one, she is probably as close as anyone else I’ve ever met as far as being of like mind with me.
As long as they don't try to claim spousal privileges, it's okay.

I tend to find a “work wife.” I have a certain need to bond because there is no bonding at home.

99% of the time it’s a great arrangement. We take care of each other and we talk everything out. There have been a few instances where it felt like it was heading in a wrong direction.

No...but the 2rd ex had one. He even bought me HER brand of perfume so I would smell like her. 🤬

@Spoiledbrat Nope. I left him in 2008 and the divorce was final in 2009.
Good for you. I actually see that you did say ex. @4meAndyou
@4meAndyou Men can be so unbelievably STUPID sometimes. 🙄
Where I worked they were called 'cubby hubby.'
