Is it weird for me to not want to work my entire life?

I'm 27 and tired of working. I've only been working 11 years...
I cannot fathom working all year and only getting 4 weeks off from work per year for the rest of my life.
I've been trying to get work at a school to have scheduled, non-negotiable time off work.
Working sucks...

We may not like it but we gotta do it, the bills won't pay themselves

@Phillyphan78 don't have so many bills.

@iamnikki if you can keep it that way, more power to ya!

Not weird at all. I think you haven't found the right job for you yet.

@SW-User I sure haven't

@iamnikki Choose the road less traveled and see how it goes 😉👍️
I'm 33 and think about retirement every single day. Seriously 🙁

@PrincessVelvet Its the new reality. Inequality, job security and job satisfaction has never been so bad in the US.

The key is to find a job you don't loathe. Then going to work is actually a fun part of your life, at least most of the time.

When I had a job in a book store with all of my best friends, it felt like I got paid to do cool projects with my friends every day. I loved it so much I actually spent most of my free time at work too (off the clock, just hanging out in the lounge area and reading). 🤓📚

Couldn't agree more. There is no advice as this is the modern day reality, but I wish you luck.

@Barrelracer1 I completely understand that. Plan ahead, save money to get by for the 2-3 months without work...
