Definitely a big workout. And i make double the minimum wage at the time. Those farmers paid well for good help! But worked you hard.

@Funtoy4u yes, always a big lunch and a "coffee time" break in middle of the afternoon with sandwiches and cookies.
But spending any time in a 100F barn will wear you out, fast!

@KellyLancaster yep there were some interested customers i guess lol.. They used to give us the customers age too so we should target middle aged to old age customers.. it was my first job and i needed money. i did what i was asked. am sorry for the customers who bought from me i hope you had a great use of it lol 😂😂😂

Did you ride horses?

@calicuz Yeah. We had several. I had my own that died when I was in college. My Dad sold the rest of them when he retired. They are pretty expensive to maintain and he’s gotten older. I definitely miss riding our horses, though. 🦋

Just dawned on me, I did have a paying job when I was very young. I lived on a farm, and we had several mango trees. I'd come home from school and pick up the mangoes for our livestock that had fallen onto the ground. Grandpa paid me 25 cents a bucket. I was so proud. 😂
