If I go to one more staff meeting I am going to scream

I am starting to get uncomfortable in staff meetings because it seems like I am unable to contribute anything to the meeting because my brain isn't functioning fast as others in order to make a response. I am usually the shy ,timid, quiet type that usually types out my thoughts and ideas because everything flows better when I type than me speaking.
Have you taken the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator testing?

You might be an INT*, which would explain what you perceive as slowness (NTs have a higher cost of interruptions and you can count to several seconds before a really solid NT might begin to speak) & your shyness (I)...?

an NT

@SomeMichGuy I took that test a long time ago and it says that I am INFJ. I am going to look into the INT and read more about it.
@OpalFlower the "NT" marker is often seen in tech ppl

your tested type can change over time

I was originally further away from the last axis but last tested as INT with just a couple points into one of the P or J

Me too ...hate meetings ...I've never been comfortable speaking to a large group of people ... I only do this when I feel it is beneficial in some way ...I find some people like to showboat at meetings and say a lot but at the same time say nothing ...

@SW-User Well I during meetings my brain doesn't seem to process things fast enough in order to give a lengthy response no matter how beneficial it may be.

I relate to this. I hate them too and to be honest, I become sleepy during them with the risk of actually falling asleep. It's as if my brain shuts off during what I perceive as often being meetings that don't propose or resolve anything at all.

Pre-plan a point and blurt it out at the appropriate moment...it takes practice...
I can understand. I seem to have an 'all hands' meeting every gd week.
