I have a telephone interview for a new job tomorrow and I'm getting nervous

It's hard because it's not like you can revise for it.

Acing interviews 101:

Don't be negative about anything, and never talk bad about a former employer. (Good interviewers will try to trick you into doing this; don't fall for it.)

Be honest about your skillset, but sell yourself passionately.

Underscore the importance (to you) of loyalty, team spirit, quality work, attention to detail, promptness, etc.

Put yourself in the position of your interviewer: would you hire you?

Oh, and if it's a video call, dress professionally and have a blank wall behind you. Your camera should be at nose level so your face is centered on the interviewer's screen.

What said@Theseus . Plus give examples.
Be yourself and be polite. The rest ain’t up to you.

You’ll do great !

@BiasForAction thank you

Yea, you can.
wonderland63893 · 26-30, F
@KaiserSolze only if you know what they are going to ask. Which I don't

@wonderland63893 omg. Ok. You can: research the company so you show you have knowledge of the company, can ask questions about it when given the chance and say a reason why you want to work for that specific company.

You can read the job description a few hundred times so whatever you're ask you make your answers fit the job description.

You can look at standard BS interview questions that they 9/10 ask.

So far I wouldn't hire you because you don't even know how to prepare for an interview. Anyway... Good luck 🍀

Yes you can - face to face or over the phone the questions are gonna be the same.

Have you had one before?
wonderland63893 · 26-30, F
@LookingIn not a telephone interview

They're just like face to face interviews. But on the phone :) Be yourself. You'll be fine.

And if it doesn't work out learn from it and use the knowledge for the next one :)

Good luck!! @wonderland63893

Please relax it will be just fine. They will ask you what you already know. They just need to know if you are clear on the phones and easily understandable. They will also check if you can comprehend well n can answer quickly and to the point. You will do well. Only be positive. All the best!

The only prep you can do,is to read up on company ethos and what they do,and work around what experience you have in your current and past roles,to best match there's.
Have questions ready to ask don't ask about the Pay...
Best of luck

when you feel the interview is going 'south' … pretend the person on the other end is a member of your family … then answer accordingly.
