Have you ever walked out of a job?

KaysHealingPath · 36-40, F
Yes lol 😂 it was epic!
Peaches · F
YES! This guy started yelling at me about his food when I was a waitress and I told him I didn't cook it I only serve it. The owner of the restaurant told me not to say anything else and he wouldn't shut up, so I left...

I have always put my standards of living before anything else and the respect of others .I very much live by the saying live and let live and treat others the way you wish others to treat you . One of those things is respect no matter who you are .If people abuse me or try to take advantage of me or don't treat me with respect ,I will not hang around .This has happened to me a few times and I just walked out .In most cases I started another job within days .I always found work easy to get if your not too choosy and willing to do a days work for a days pay.
Yep...... got tired of the bullshit and incompetence of the management there.

Harriet03 · 41-45, F

SW-User
Yes, once. S&P data sucked big time.
nahright09 · 41-45, M
i was in high school...almost got into a fight with a customer, he said some racist things to me...i was on my way outside to fight em when my manager grabbed me and told me to go home to cool off. I never went back.
Dionysus · 41-45, F
Yes, I’ve written stories about it. It was liberating and completely unexpected . Good memory :)
@Dionysus 😆
NickiHijab · F

@Stark Aww, what made you wanna walk out?
Yeah but i give them advanced warnings
Yes. when I was 17. My manager called me a fucking moron and an idiot because i got ground hamburger and sausage confused on a pizza order. He continued to berate me for a full 5 minutes. So I left.
@TwiddlerofThumbs um okay, that’s ridiculous I’m glad you did walk out.
@Stark It was my first day, hell it was the first hour of the first day. After watching how he treated the staff, and then me because I circled GB instead of GS,I wasn't going to stick around to be abused.
@TwiddlerofThumbs lol that’s great you didn’t stay aroundfor it.
SW-User
Yes but it wasn’t the typical walk out.

The owners and I made an agreement, they threatened my job unless I did something we agreed I wouldn’t have to do. So I said ‘Well, thanks for the opportunity and all... but I quit’.
@SW-User I didn’t know you ever had a job
SW-User
@Stark I’ve had two.
Sure, more than a few.
JavaJoe · 51-55, M
Yes. I have my standards. 😏
SW-User
No but I look forward to the day I walk out of this house i'm in.
@SW-User 🤔 what’s wrong with your house ?
SW-User
A house with too much noise and violence. I look forward to leaving forever.
Turtlepower · 36-40, M
Yes. When I was 19. I left a note and never went back.
@Turtlepower at least you were kind enough to leave a note.
Turtlepower · 36-40, M
@Stark Haha, well it was something I regretted later, but decisions are easy to judge in hindsight.
chrisCA · M
I have yet to have that pleasure.
@chrisCA 😔 I did today, I actually feel it was too hasty and a bit immature.
chrisCA · M
@Stark Live, and learn.
sarabee1995 · 26-30, F
Walked out? No.
Left with proper notice for good reason? Sure.
katielass · F

DragonFruit · 61-69, M
