What is your work schedule?

Do you like it?
yea kind of, I wish i could have ten hour work periods but I actually like working second shift, i like to not have an alarm to wake up, i like to have time before work, i like being able to come early and stay late, they do not let the first shifters do that at my job, because there is nothing for them to do if they come early and there will be too many people working if they stay late. I feel like people expect me to hate this shift, they want me to work first shift and i have convinced myself at the beginning i do not like it but thats not true. when i worked first shift my day went by really slow because i was tired the whole time now i can work overtime and still not feel that tired.

@Girlyfriendcollecting yea i did like not having to work early, shopping while stores are quiet and things like matinee movies before work. Makes the work day so much more pleasant. I find I'm tired with this schedule too though
@iamnikki what schedule do you work? THe time dosent bother me as much as other things, I hate my coworker, she has tired to get me fired, and I used to hate working different shifts each day. i worked 6 am to 2 then three days of 9 am to 5 and the last day back to 6 am to 2. I hated that alot.

@Girlyfriendcollecting i worked retail so my shifts varied. I was usually a closer so i always went in at 12pm or later

I work at night from 5 pm until I'm done usually about 8 hours . ( summer time may be less winter time usually more) I like it in many ways but like many jobs it has its bad parts also .
iamnikki · 31-35, F
@Repete what kind of work do you do?
Repete · 61-69, M
@iamnikki I'll try this again . I work at a health center I do maintainance and some cleaning .

Monday to Friday 12:30 PM to 9PM. Except on Tuesday, then I come it at 12PM. It's okay, better then being unemployed.

@SW-User better than the 2p-11p schedule i worked for 2 years☹️

@iamnikki That is tough. I did work a shift for awhile which ended at 2am.

Typically 8-4ish, though can be fairly flexible if need be. Yeah, no complaints about work life balance.
iamnikki · 31-35, F
@QuixoticSoul how do you balance it? Do you get enough sleep and personal time? Or does your job allow for you to do other stuff while on clock.
QuixoticSoul · 41-45, M
@iamnikki My job is fairly relaxed about things. It s a senior engineering gig and at that point the staff is treated with kid gloves and management goes some way to keep us happy. Among other things, I can vary my hours around as I see fit, or work from home on demand.

Of course, maintaining professionalism is up to the individual, and pays dividends too. And I find that the more I stick to a good routine the better everything works.

Yeah, I get enough time to sleep because unless I’m overdosing in night time coffee I’m passing the hell out around ten 😂

I really can’t complain - these are probably the easiest hours I’ve worked my entire career, and I’m home before 5pm every day.
I changed my schedule to 4 days a week but it turns out im a lazy bitch & hate working long shifts.
iamnikki · 31-35, F
@DarlingSelah lol. I found them to be almost the same, at least with the days off. When you work 12+ hours a day for 4 days a week, 3 days off feels like only 2 because you're so tired. 4 days on, 4 days off would be so ideal for me
xixgun · M
I work every 3 to 4... months
iamnikki · 31-35, F
@xixgun how? As temp jobs? To supplement retirement income or something?🤔
xixgun · M
@iamnikki Voiceovers. You work when you're needed, no other time.
iamnikki · 31-35, F
@xixgun guess if it works for u
