How to know if your boss is mad at you?

I'm not going to ask or even think about it anymore.

How do yo know when anyone is mad at you? Some people get loud, some people get quiet, some people get really formal and cold, while others just say nothing but make your life harder. It's entirely dependent on who the boss is.
