I Wonder Why Some People Are So Rude

I wonder if I should just start being rude because being polite isn't helping me.

I was at the library since my [b]home[/b] internet is currently down. I walked up to the help desk where two workers were talking. I walked up right in front of them, and they continued talking. I politely waited about 15-20seconds then waved them down like "hellooo". Then i asked for what I needed.

I have never understood why some workers don't even acknowledge people who walk up to them clearly needing help. A simple smile and a ☝( one moment) signal would suffice)...

Lousy customer service is everywhere these days. My guess is, their manager wouldn't appreciate their behavior.

@lasergraph that's why I always try to compliment or praise good service when I occasionally get it - online reviews etc. So rare, sadly.

@Cheesecake I have occasionally found good service and always extend an appreciation for it. Too many fail to understand their customer is the reason they have a job.

Most people are win the wrong jobs I reckon. But that doesn't mean you DON@T make an effort. Don't be a jerk and take it out on others cos the job bores you.

@metaldog in this instance, im gonna start saying " hi! I thought i was invisble for a second", then prceed with my question/concern.
I think its rude to just walk up and butt in when 2 people are talking. Looks as if that has changed and that people would rather you do so.
