Winding roads
Wishing stars
The wonder of it all
We are born
We breathe
We live
Short and slow
Long and wild
Or the mixture
The simple wonder
Of each breath
Amazes me profoundly
We connect on higher planes
We meet each other's hearts
We share our words, our lives
Though some I may never meet
Each one touches my heart
Few nest in my open-heart nest
Changed my life evermore
So I journey
On winding roads
Carrying my wishes
Warmed by your presence
Brightened by your starshine
Holding your hand in mine
Side by side sailing
Stumbling and caught
By you, by me
Love is our shared pie.

Life is like driving. Driving is more interesting on the twists and turns of winding roads, feeling the tight curves, the power on the straights. Straight roads get you there quicker, but sometimes the journey needs to be enjoyed
