I Want To Talk About Community

I believe there is a tendency toward mistaking luxuries for necessities.

We don't need plastic water bottles. We don't need plastic packaging.

Just a few decades ago those things didn't exist. Paper, waxed cardboard, tin cans, and glass were used. People got along just fine with that. We have dumped a gigantic amount of plastic into our oceans, all for something we don't need.

We don't need a car to travel half a mile. We don't need to eat large amounts of meat everyday.
We are doing great damage to our one and only planet with things that are not even necessities.

Plastics corporations should be required to clean up their plastic waste. We need incentives for plant-based, biodegradable products to replace petroleum-based plastic.

This earth is the only place we can live. We had better take better care of it.
