1. Sweet Boy, why are you anxious at night? When you pant and whmper, I want to reach over and comfort you and show you that there is nothing to fear. We are safe, even in the dark. Time for you to relax and let me take over the watch. You don’t need to be on duty 24 hours a day.

2. Does the groomer hurt you, or the noise of the dryers hurt your ears? You are so unhappy when I take you there, but I do it for your own health, little one. If I’m able to, I will find a grooming place that is quieter so you are not so stressed.

3. Do you know how happy you make me? I will tell you. Your little life is entwined with mine and I love you so very much. You are such a good dog, you don’t run out of doors when the door is wide open, you ask before getting on the bed with me at night, and you have perfect house and car manners. Part of this is my training of you, but most of it is your own sweet nature and desire to be a good member of the pack.You are the last dog I will ever have, due to my own advancing age, but you are also the very best of the five dogs I have owned. Know that I love you very much.
