@waleskinder perhaps this could explain her ability to really play the role and make it real.

She did seem to take over the role and become her character. The film had some very dramatic moments and a sad ending. I felt sorry for her, but she had a coldness about her which I found hard to justify despite the tragedies in the film.

@Lukeman yeah. She was probably barely holding herself together. Her son had died a senseless death, and she had a contract to finish the film. I think I'd come across as very cold too.
