Who did I hurt that caused me to feel regret????

A slew of people that to this day makes me sick to my stomach.

I told a lie once. Yes once sense I have been viewed as an adult.

I won't say what I did but in the root it was highly illegal, My intent and the actual out come were harmless. That is my disclaimer. LOL.

I lied to my mom. To a lawyer. Two cops and a judge and prosecuting attorney.

The guilt comes from the fact that they all, all, believed me.

They all apologized to me for the horrible inconvenience I was suffering.

Even the probation interviewer believed me.

Do you have any idea what it is like to carry that jackass burden with you????

Still makes me ill to think about.

@Dainbramadge That's why I never try to lie.. and when I do the guilt usually makes me confess after..

I can't confess tho. I did it. I lied and everyone believed me because they trusted me.
If I ever confessed I would ruin their expectations of me and in the long run I would hurt more people than help.
No I need to carry this burden myself rather than let the guilt cause me to attempt to confess and relieve myself of it.
