I Think History Is Being Forgoten

Anyone wonder why the US a=Affordable Care Act is called Obamacare? Why is social security not Rooseveltcurity, Medicare Johnsoncare? No president can pass legislaton, that is the job of Congress.

I think the answer is rather obvious!

If anyone else has dread all 126 pages of the newly passed house bill can explain to me what on earth page 123 is there for, in a health care bill, please let me know. It is a blatant tax break. Also you need to tell me what will happen to those who became eligible for Medicaid who were it the range of over 133 and under 301 of the poverty level? Further, tell me how many feel we will be better off with the cost of medical care if the same Bill passes in the senate?

The Republicans were opposed to everything Obama, and continue to be so!

if it is so obvious, what is it? This was a ramrodded piece of legislation when there was 60-40 in the senate. Obama could have modified it but didn't It was his "signature" legislation. and now we all have to live with it

Very clever term, "Repukes". This will make your statements so much more persuasive.

If it is as good as Pres. Obama says it is he should be proud to have his name on it. You don't want to give him credit for it for some reason?

@OWTFWN: well yes single payer government run insurance has been proposed more than once but never got much traction from either party. ACA was never sold that way
