My Late Uncle Ray was Rector of two old churches way past Cannock Chase I visited him a few times and was surprised to find out these two churches were very old indeed Colton Church was built in 1067 and the other church sorry I will have to look it up sometime I can't spell it was about 1087/8 so they were both Norman churches he was in his sixties then been a Minister with the church of England all his adult life and risen to Rector this was his last post before retiring a quiet country parish or two parishes pity I haven't any pictures to show you.
