I Live By The Ocean Mountians And State Parks

I live hours from the ocean, but I live in the mountains, and I have a state park in my county. I hike it regularly I tend to stick in the south east park of the park. You have less tourist and park rangers and over 50 scenic trails. There’s countless waterfalls and overlooks. A handful of caves, and plenty of places to go rock climbing. I know numerous beautiful private places to smoke and drink at. I can relax at this part of the park you’re unlikely to come across anyone that’s going to catch you with weed. I found a new place today to chill at. It’s on a huge bolder on the river. There are two main rivers and this spot is where the two rivers combined at. The water was pretty rough. Before getting to the end of the trail I came across two small rock houses which are basically small caves. And two waterfalls from a stream following the trail. The northern part of the park is way more touristy and more patrolled. However with it being off season and the government shut down, I’m thinking about hitting up an area I only go to about once or twice a year finish a hike I never completed all the way though. I’m alway uncomfortable leaving my territory, not only are there more people and park rangers/ cops but there’s also more bear, wolf, boat, and mountain lion activity. One of the last things I want is to come across a predatory animal 5 plus miles down a trail, alone stoned out of my mind. I’m not sure where I’ll hike at tomorrow, but it will be my last hike before I go back to working. The problem with being your own boss is you don’t have someone down your neck making sure work is being done.
