The first rule about fight club is you don't talk about fight club. The second rule about fight club is you don't talk about fight club. Fight Club is a great movie. It's so much more than you imagine at the first viewing unless you are smarter than I am maybe. I had to watch it twenty or thirty times to get to the real meat of the movie. It is a commentary on society, it's a movie about nihilism , it's an indictment on consumerism, it's a buddy film, it's a film about the limits of he human condition. It's more than that. It was my refuge when I would become depressed I would retreat into that movie in my room and just watch it over and over and over again. It's a great movie. A fantastic movie. Some people get it right away. Me? I hated it he first time I saw it. My son? He got it right away. I have always had to work hard to uncover the meaning of things like opera and poems and music. If it isn't right there in front of me I have a hard time with it. Fight Club is too good to miss though. It fits my life no matter where I am. It fascinates me.
