Why is Argentina considered a poor country? It's easily one of the biggest countries in the world!

Argentina is far from a small country. It's easily top 10 biggest countries. Why is Argentina a third world country?

Well
It borrowed money from the IMF to finance a restructuring of it's economy and never repaid the debt !
Since then, somehow it's often managed to find independent finance for various projects from foreign investors, but they never see a project through ! Or somebody in government starts skimming off the top, then there's a power struggle and the whole thing begins again !

It's still considered a developing country... Sweden,Switzerland and Ireland are also considered "third world" countries in the same sense... understanding the terms "first, second and third world countries" would help you

You know that countries like Switzerland are quite rich right?

If anything it's mostly smaller countries that are among the richest in the world.
