Is United States good place to live?

Oneofthestormboys · 100+, M
It’s ok...
As a European, the food is very fatty (in general), everything revolves around cars, there’s not a huge amount of history either.
I’m guessing you’re Italian? You’ll miss your coffee culture, old buildings, that sort of thing.
I like the US, but I’m always happy to come back home.
SW-User
@Zonuss Dont worry nobody said there wasn’t 🙂
wildbill83 · 36-40, M
@Oneofthestormboys fatty food? as opposed to Scots, who basically deep fry everything? lol
Oneofthestormboys · 100+, M
Hahahaha! @wildbill83
SweetMae · 70-79, F
I have lived in many places in my life. The only place I want to live from now on is the United States. I believe the media only focuses on the worst of every country.
SW-User
It’s alright.
SW-User
@SW-User tell me more. :-)

I know you’re new... been some places. Seen some things.
SinlessOnslaught · 26-30, M
I like it, but, I’ve never lived anywhere else so I have no point of reference.
SW-User
if you’re rich
SW-User
@Zonuss all? Sounds like your employer can't afford enough health insurance to buy meds for your delusions xD
Zonuss · 41-45, M
@SW-User It's all about how you apply yourself here. Maybe you need meds. 🙂
SW-User
@Zonuss ok zoomer
Dusty101 · F
It was a great place when I lived there!
Hopefully visiting soon!
SW-User
From what I know of it, I’d say no
ExtremeNext · 31-35
@SW-User i agree
SW-User
Certain parts of each state
ExtremeNext · 31-35
Do you want to get shot 🔫
ExtremeNext · 31-35
@Zonuss yes it is I know everything
Zonuss · 41-45, M
@ExtremeNext I'm American. That statement is false and exaggerated. 🙂
ExtremeNext · 31-35
@Zonuss I always speak the truth
SW-User
I'd imagine it is other than the cost of healthcare
Zonuss · 41-45, M
@SW-User Must be a foreigner. 🙂
wildbill83 · 36-40, M
@SW-User cost of living here is less than half of what it is in UK. Cheaper gasoline/petrol, cheaper utilities, cheaper rent/mortgages, cheaper auto insurance, etc.
SW-User
@wildbill83 @wildbill83 but crippling healthcare costs I'm told
Mona86 · C
Not if you’re going to comply about them?
SW-User
@Mona86 thinking to move in Us
Mona86 · C
Ok go it’s not easy to get in you either need to marry and prove it’s love, have a siblings or parents uncles / cousin don’t count, or be born there to be allowed to live there long term, but if you work or study you get either a student visa or work visa, and if you visit only and are allowed in you can stay maximum 6 months.@SW-User
Been here my entire life. Honestly wouldn't want to live anywhere else.
Dlrannie · 31-35, F
I’m sure it is for many but there are many other countries that are good places to live 🙂
MissTaken · 36-40, F
No more or less than many other countries in the world.
Thevy29 · 41-45, M
Looks like a shit hole
ExtremeNext · 31-35
@Thevy29 lol
Zonuss · 41-45, M
@Thevy29 I can name a city here that makes Rome Italy look like a shit hole. Charleston is one. Number one ranked city in the world. You got to be kidding me. 🤭
[c=#359E00]that place is the peak of kinda life which is total opposite of the teaching of my religion, that alone is enough reason for me to despise them[/c]
Zonuss · 41-45, M
@YukikoAmagi False. Americans are embracing Islam I many ways and their mosques are protected sanctuaries. People aren't ignorant about that stuff anymore especially since 9/11. And they sure as hell do not like this war we are in right now. We have grown weary of our government hurting outsiders for personal gain. Even an Iranian said himself
He realizes how.much people here hate Trump now. His issue is not with the US Civilians. It's with this current administration. So no we are not against you. The media only makes it (look) like we are. 🙂
@Zonuss [c=#359E00]i heard too often on this site American hate Islam, they laugh about us, they insult us, they ridicule us[/c]
Zonuss · 41-45, M
@YukikoAmagi These people you hear on this site are Trumptard Right Wing extremists.
[c=#359E00]that place is not for me[/c]
Jonjdw · 46-50, M
Idk. It all I know. Ppl have told me about other places that they believe are better. And ppl have told me they prefer the us. So idk.
Zonuss · 41-45, M
It's awesome.
SW-User
Sure, if you're rich.
Zonuss · 41-45, M
@SW-User False. You can live here happily in the middle class. 🙂
SW-User
@Zonuss Happiness is subjective.
Zonuss · 41-45, M
@SW-User Money is good. But it does not always bring happiness.
Zonuss · 41-45, M
From a foreigner perspective I am sure that our culture, politics, and way of life may be a bit too extreme for some people to swallow. But as an American born and raised we love our country in spite of it all. We have New York. LA. Chicago. Dallas. Miami. And there is always something to do.in those cities along with many others. We have awesome food. Great Asian cuisines. So much diversity. So much pride and patriotism. We definitely will fight for each other when need be. We have the right to own guns too. I would not trade being here for anything or anywhere else on Earth. 🙂

I remember when those exchange students came from Europe. They were perplexed when they saw how many interracial couples were here on the beach. I mean they looked confused. I was like see. 🤭
Justenjoyit · 56-60, M
The only thing that put me off was the low amount of holidays you get. But the people were nice and friendly.
Zonuss · 41-45, M
@Justenjoyit There's a holiday in each month. 🙂
Keepitsimple · 51-55, F
@Justenjoyit Thats true...Taking 2 weeks off in a row is almost unheard of here.
Justenjoyit · 56-60, M
@Zonuss I mean annual holiday entitlement, I receive 6 weeks as standard plus the extra holiday days off here and there.
