how was your first experience flying?

I'm so desperate to get away for at least a weekend. I've never been on a plane. I don't know what to do and I'm scared of getting lost or missing the flight. Scared of boarding wrong plane, being in wrong lines etc.
Get there at least two hours early, locate your airline’s baggage check in (if you already have your tickets, you can check your bags outside the airport some places, and won’t have to lug it around the airport. (I wonder if that's why it’s called luggage?) Ask the agent at the airlines where you go next and what you’ll need available when you get there. (One tip -,don’t leave your ID in your checked bags.)

Get there at least two hours early. Major airports are the size of cities.

It’s a good idea to prepay for parking in the right lot and find out if shuttles run from that lot and do they run 24/7 and how frequently.

Did I mention you should get there at least two hours before your flight?

My very first time was on a private plane. We hit an air pocket and went into freefall. I knew the pilot well and trusted him. He got us down safe. After that flying commercial was nothing.

Its really very easy - just follow the signage. No way you can get on the wrong plane.

Well my experience flying wouldn’t help you exactly because I was a pilot 😂

When the plane's in the air, you'll feel pressure behind your ears. It helps to yawn. After that, the ride is usually boring.
As for being afraid you'll get lost and miss your flight, arrive early and it's okay to ask people for directions.

The first time can be chaotic (especially if the airport is a confusing mess) but really once you fly it's not even a hassle anymore.
You’ll be fine. I don’t like flying, but I’ve never had a problem with being on the plane.
