Black Forest Germany

Have anyone travelled to the black forest in Germany. I've seen pictures of it online and it looks beautiful along with the town's surrounded buy it.

My sister and mother travelled there and I have colleagues who were born in the Schwarzwald. I've never heard a bad word. Plus, if you like coffee and cake, the konditorei are supposed to be amazing.

@Linne5 I think the only problem is working out which to choose.

@Linne5 The real ones are absolutely amazing. Nothing like the supermarket stuff we get here.

Close yet not quite there. My father had some wonderful stories about mushrooms there. :)

Only got as far south west as Stuttgart. Have a couple of pics of the Ludwigsburg Schloss though that I haven't posted yet.

@DeWayfarer tell me about the mushrooms are they edible.

@Linne5 Some are, most are not. He knew how to how to pick them. Yet never showed me how. At least not enough to trust myself to do so.

It's well worth a visit. Lots to see with beautiful towns, cities, lakes and mountains. And some steam railways.

I had a German bf when I was younger and we travelled around Germany in a camper. We didn’t go to the forest though
