[sep]Drive through Topanga Canyon before and/or after Malibu
[sep]Griffith Park Observatory for a great view
[sep]Food Trucks - tons of interesting food trucks
[sep]Little Tokyo for great Japanese Food
[sep]Koreatown for Korean BBQ
[sep]See a movie at 70mm screen like Graumann's Chinese or The Cinerama Dome
[sep]Shopping - Beverly Hills, Robertson is geared towards younger. Melrose is much cheaper. Beverly Center is a high end mall in Beverly Hills
[sep]Museums - Natural History, LACMA, Petersen Car Museum
[sep]Hiking - Runyan Canyon, Griffith Park, The Hollywood Reservoir, Angeles Crest are all great hiking trails
[sep]Drive to the desert, Joshua Tree or Palm Springs
