If you could visit any ancient civilization which would you choose and why?

Probably the Roman Empire, since they were extremely influential and getting to observe a civilization that old would be extremely valuable from a history learning perspective.

Not really ancient as such but the Ottomans - I am deeply fascinated by their harem culture and would've fancied being a part of the harem.

Ancient Egypt. I'd like to have seen how they constructed the pyramids, and found out what they were really used for.

Greek , to see if the Greek Gods were real or BS .

I couldn't choose. I would like to just observe... Not effect them or time, be killed by them.

i know it's not ancient, but it might as well be now.

i would have loved to have visited Pripyat before the disaster... it looks so beautiful from the pictures and it'd have been nice to have gotten a real feel for the town.

Can't decide. Egypt during the building of the pyramids. Moses and the red sea parting. Roman Empire around the times of Christ. But probably a little later than the dark ages or midevil

Persian empire. Persepolis and Susa especially.

I can’t imagine any past era where I wouldn’t have been the wrong color, wrong gender, wrong nationality, wrong religion. So I’m satisfied with modern times.
