to what degree are we being spied on

I mentioned in a FB message to a friend that I would like to take her to a mountain resort for the weekend, I didn't google it or anything because I go there all the time and today, here on SW, my advertisement is about that specific resort, offering me 30% off lodging for the weekend. Is Big Brother watching me?

Those are just ad spyware to sell you more products. Big brother never sleeps but i doubt they are giving you discount

Yeah happens often to me to. Pretty scary. I just need to go somewhere and I get a message asking me to rate it. I don't have my phone location on.

If you use google chrome they will analyze everything you write, I've noticed.

Either that or we keep being manipulated by ads we see on the internet thinking it's our original thoughts.
