What is the most beautiful place you have ever visited?

trackman11 · 61-69, M
I have visited many, but honestly.. my own back yard.. I look south and first is the pond, sparkling in the sun and surrounded by maples and willows, then beyond are my three horses waiting patiently (not that patiently) for breakfast, beyond is their pasture, rich and green. And at the end of my vision are the woods. Everything today is bathed in sunshine and always bathed in peaceful stillness. Yes.. it is the most beautiful place I have ever visited. Even though I live it, Each day it is different and unique from the past and in fact, I am a visitor.

@trackman11 Wow, sounds wonderful 😊

@Egg01 In fairness, probably mostly wonderful to me. No mountains or moving water, fairly simple, but fits me. :)

Phew. Scotland always. The fjords of Norway, the beaches of Bermuda, the Alps in Switzerland (or Tyrol Austria), the Lake District UK. Five finger lakes NY, The Pyrenees in Spain. Even upstate Ontario. Loads of other little spots too

@Robert I'm glad Scotland is in there :)

I may move to Edinburgh when/if I can retire!
I can't name one...Pensacola Beach, FL; the Rockies outside Denver, CO; the South Dakota Badlands; the Orlando Wetlands, Orlando, FL; The Atlantic Ocean, Myrtle Beach, South Carolina on a cold windy starlit night.

@approachingmyexpirationdate That's a place I would like to explore!

Hey, I remember you from EP! Nice to see you again!

I've visited a few beautiful places. The first was the Florida Keys. The Gulf of Mexico on one side and the Atlantic Ocean on the other separated only by the bridge you're driving on.

The second was Malibu Beach in Califorina. The Pacific Ocean is incredibly bright for lack of a better word.

Seeing the sun rise and set at the Great Pyramids and Syphix in Egypt is third.

Last, trekking down the escarpment in Dogon Country in Mali is fourth. Camping out under the stars, I felt at total peace with nature and in the world.

@JAYS21 lucky you 😊

That is a really hard question to answer. There are so many beautiful places I've visited that I couldn't possibly pick just one. Each had its own beauty... if I was pressed though, to answer that question, I might say "home".

My grandpa's house. A self contained, picture book paradise. 3 or 4 acres Surrounded by tall bamboo and exotic shrubbery.
