Do you take the backseat driver advice or go the way you know?

I was flying my little Piper airplane home from visiting my uncle. Dear Wife beside me and Mom and Dad in the back seat. This was only about the second time Dad had been up in an airplane and he was a bit of a nervous flier. As we hummed along at 125 mph Dad suddenly leaned forward and rather panicky told me that we were way too far west. Since we were heading in a general south west direction I eased his fears by heading south until he calmed down then swung west to get back on course. "You're too far west" came from the back seat again and again I made the little jog to ease his fear and get back on course. "You are too far west!" "No Dad I am right on course. There is the lake behind our house dead ahead". "Oh I was sure we were too far west" "Yes Dad it is sometimes hard to navigate from the back seat".
