I traveled through the Southeastern part of New Mexico and the Northwestern part of Texas and wanted to get the fuck outta there as quickly as possible. Texas was worse. No rest stops for miles and miles, nothing around but flat, dry grasslands--I had to shit on the side of the road in a shanty-town with boarded-up buildings, graffiti, vandalism, and trash everywhere. Lubbock, Big Spring, Menard, Junction, and then we hit San Antonio and from there onward, it wasn't bad. Avoid that part of Texas.

@lovelywarpedlemon West Texas is forsaken. Midland is nasty. The interstate through town is littered with junk oilfield equipment.

@FlKuntryBoy the best thing in Tulsa is a gas station. Get water, get rid of accumulated trash, use the restroom, check your vehicle's engine, gas up and GO.

@JRVanguard Mid-sized city about an hour from me...it's a breeding ground for gangs, drugs, shootings, incest and half the buildings look like they're about to fall down.

There was a corner in Brooklyn that had so many newspapers flying around I couldn't believe it had been so neglected.
