What if you haven't had any accidents or anything but people seem to really dislike the way you drive...blowing horns, back seat drivers etc.?

Driving ability is not just about the accident rate. It is about how smoothly you can drive (accelerate, slow down, merge, change lanes) and how well you anticipate traffic (having to slam on the brakes because you didn't realize you were being boxed in or changing lanes to avoid stopping for turning vehicles ahead of you). Awareness of traffic ahead beside and behind you and what they are likely to do. Having an escape plan in case of a driver doing something silly. The other day I was driving down the highway at highway speed when the car on my right moved into my lane to avoid a road hazard on his right. I had seen the hazard and was fully prepared to move left to avoid him and his sudden move. My passengers were amazed that I had moved that fast to get out of his way not realizing I was expecting the other driver to move over.
