I Love Nature

View of my pond this evening with a storm rolling in.

Faith and fear both require believing in something unseen. As I watched this scene unfold in my backyard, it reminded me that I wasn鈥檛 seeing the storm clouds. I was seeing calm, clear water. The roiling clouds were simply a reflection.

Faith doesn鈥檛 ignore the reality of the storm, but it accepts the reality of hope, victory over the storm and a loving creator who has a plan.

If I understood the plan, I wouldn鈥檛 need faith. If others disagree with my belief or even belittle it, it鈥檚 okay. You see, both faith and fear will always be a choice. My choice is faith.

Beautiful capture 馃摳

Faith and fear are both real. Just like in your story, fear wasn鈥檛 imagined. Fear (storm coming) is just as real as the lake. But you could choose what to focus on... the clouds or the calm water.
We conquer fear not by running away from it, but by acknowledging its existence.

@CookieCrumbs I believe you have just defined courage. The absence of fear in many cases may be ignorance or foolishness, right? But acknowledging it and not allowing it to have influence or control while you think and act with wisdom in charge is the essence of courage. Faith enables me to have courage.

Faith sees where the sun is through the storm

@SW-User well said and I love that picture. We don鈥檛 need to see the Sun to believe it鈥檚 still there and will shine once the storm has passed. Thank you.
