I love wolves and find them fascinating creatures that are to be much respected.
Wolves are the largest members of the dog family. (love, love, dogs)
Wolves are legendary because of their spine-tingling howl, which they use to communicate. A lone wolf howls to attract the attention of his pack, while communal howls may send territorial messages from one pack to another.
Wolves live and hunt in packs. They are known to roam large distances as much as 20km in a single day. Wolf packs in the far North often travel hundreds of kilometers each year as they follow migrating herds.
Once a wolf has found a mate, they usually stay together for life.
When I found this video I thought it would be nice to see how the wolf pack that was introduced to Yellowstone National Park thrived. They had been gone for so long and in 1995 were reintroduced. This 4:33 minute video is so much more than that. They restored the beauty of the park in ways that were so surprising.
