Boxing or wrestling makes me cringe in absolute terror. It is a sport I am aware. All that blood... It's not for me. Is the $MONEY$ worth the pain? The disfigurement?
I recommend you read Mick Foley's book 'Have a nice day'. He worked as a professional wrestler in America for more than 20 years.
In it he tells how he got started and why he kept on doing it despite the injuries; hassles from promoters and managers looking to make money from his efforts.
@Picklebobble2 I'm a pretty big wrestling mark have a few book and like to read up on the backstage stuff and what they go through people like to just say wrestling is fake without knowing anything about it
@Dayman I read it and i thought it was interesting. Foley himself tends to look at it as a form of athleticism coupled with a bit of soap opera. and the more successful you become, the more bizarre it gets !
I actually agree with you on this and I will take it one step further. As a man I have always liked to watch football. But in the past few years, I have looked at it as a barbaric sport. With all the head injuries and all the youth that are dying during drills for whatever reason. The fact you have to gear up like you do to play football telly you something about how dangerous it is.
