Surprised to read today about how much Kane earns at Spurs as a footballer of his skill and status could earn double that elsewhere easily.
I guess it's called dedication, a rare thing these days in English football.

That is why I admire Ryan Giggs who showed great loyalty to United.

Do you think there should be a cap on the amount players can earn to discourage this happening?

The worst thing to happen to football was the creation of The Premiership.
For some reason that suddenly meant you couldn't watch football on tv anymore. Unless you paid a premium to do so.
It also mean ticket pricing went from £5 a ticket to £35 a ticket...??
With no guarantee that the club you were paying it to would give you anything more than you were getting before !!!
Money will kill this game.
One day Abramovich will do in China what he's done for Chelsea.
And then that probably will kill it for the fan.

I agree.
The thing is we now see the prices of admission and the amount of money a top player can command as ludicrous but where will it end, if at all?
In 10 years time will admission prices be over £100 and a star footballer's transfer will be around £250 million!

Not what I wanted to see when my mate has Kane as his captain in our Fantasy Football league, and we have a £10 bet on who will win the season.

All credit to Spurs, though. Fantastic season. And a good result in a meaningless game against good opposition. You have to keep this side (and manager) together. I've seen transfer gossip about Alli, Kane, Dier, Lloris, Walker, Rose, Trippier and Eriksen.
